CCS Account

Service Description

A CCS Account is used to log into CCS network resources.  CCS Accounts are distributed during orientation and require a signed AUP.

CCS network resource refers to any component or entity that is part of a computer network and is accessible to network users. For example, the following are network resources: CCS computer, CCS WiFi, or a CCS printer.  

Standard Features

IT can help with the following:

  • Request Password Reset
  • Request Account Unlock

Optional Features

HR must help with the following:

  • For name changes, job changes, or location changes email HR@columbus.k12.oh.us. 

Roles and Responsibilities

User Responsibilities: 

  • User is responsible for providing details related to the issue including their contact information and a full description of the problem.
  • User must provide demographic information and photo ID to IT staff if a password reset is needed.
  • User must sign AUP before logging into CCS network resources.  You can find the AUP form attached to this service on the right hand side.

IT Responsibilities:

  • IT will assist staff and students with activating accounts.
  • IT will perform manual password resets when needed.
  • IT will communicate the status of the request to the user as needed.
