File Share (Drive Mapping)

Service Description

A network File Share is in File Explorer and typically associated with a drive letter or a name.  When requesting access to a File Share, please include the building name.  Such as:

Roles and Responsibilities

User Responsibilities:

  • The user is responsible for including File Share drive letter and name in the service request.
  • Please provide If your account is new or you switched to a different position in the district.
  • Once IT has confirmed access, the user will be responsible for rebooting their computer. 

IT Responsibilities:

  • IT will assist staff identify the proper file share access based on available information.
  • IT will communicate with the requester once the proper access has been granted.
