Information Technology can troubleshoot and repair hardware components or peripherals on campus-owned client devices. Before opening a ticket, please restart the affected computer or peripheral, as this resolves many hardware issues.

How we use Computer & Accessories Repair

  • Diagnosing and repairing batteries, hard drives, keyboards, mice, and memory/RAM issues
  • Troubleshooting monitor/display, network/NIC card, and network printer problems
  • Repairing optical drives, scanners, and speakers
  • Submitting warranty claims to replace hardware components when necessary

Before you start your request

  • Restart the affected computer or peripheral first -- this resolves many hardware issues
  • Include your contact information, the device name/location, and a detailed description of the problem
  • Be prepared to allow IT staff to access your office and/or your computer remotely to troubleshoot
