Zoom is a cloud-based video conferencing platform used to host and join meetings, webinars, and virtual events from any device with an internet connection.

Microsoft Teams is available to all staff for hosting meetings.

How we use Zoom

  • Creating, scheduling, and hosting meetings
  • Screen sharing, chat, and virtual backgrounds
  • Recording meetings and livestreaming events
  • Joining meetings by phone or through Outlook integration

Before you start your request

  • A license is only needed to create/host meetings -- students and staff joining a meeting don't need a Zoom account
  • Include your contact information and a detailed description of the issue

What we can help with

User Responsibilities:

  • Update the Zoom client when prompted by the Zoom application

IT Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with creating, scheduling, or hosting a Zoom meeting
  • Troubleshooting issues encountered on the local end of the connection
  • Granting Zoom licenses to staff who need to create/host meetings
