Single Sign-On

Service Overview

Single Sign-On (SSO) is an authentication service that allows staff and students to access multiple applications using a single set of district credentials — your Columbus City Schools username and password. Rather than managing separate logins for each application, SSO provides a seamless and secure experience by authenticating your identity once through the district's Identity Provider (IdP).

Many district-approved applications support SSO integration using the SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) protocol, which enables a trusted, encrypted exchange of authentication information between the district and third-party applications.

Need an application connected to SSO? If you are working with a vendor or application that supports SAML-based SSO, you can submit a request below to have it configured and integrated into the district's SSO environment. Please have your vendor's SAML metadata or configuration documentation available when submitting your request.
