Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe Creative Cloud is a suite of creative applications -- including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and InDesign -- used for photo editing, graphic design, video production, and other creative and multimedia work. Columbus City Schools provides Creative Cloud access to staff and students, though the district holds a limited number of licenses.

All CCS staff and students already have access to Adobe Express, a free, web-based design tool with templates for flyers, social media graphics, presentations, and short videos. No request or license approval is needed to use it.

How we use Adobe

  • Creating graphic design projects, flyers, and promotional materials for classes and school communications
  • Producing and editing photos and video for coursework, student projects, and multimedia assignments
  • Supporting yearbook, newspaper, and other student publication classes
  • Teaching digital media, photography, and design curriculum in career-tech and elective courses

Before you start your request

  • Adobe Creative Cloud licenses are limited and subject to approval based on the requested use case
  • Students are automatically assigned a license based on class enrollment -- allow 24 hours for the license to appear
  • For an additional class that needs to be taught using Adobe, include the course name, teacher name, and building location in your request

IT Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and approving staff Creative Cloud access requests based on use case
  • Automatically assigning student licenses based on class enrollment
  • Adding Adobe access for approved additional classes
