Navigating to My Groups from Outlook (Microsoft My Account)

To guide users on how to navigate from Outlook to the My Groups page in Microsoft 365, where they can view and manage the groups they belong to or own.


âś… Prerequisites

  • Microsoft 365 work or school account
  • Access to Outlook on the Web or New Outlook
  • Membership in at least one Microsoft 365 or security group

🛠️ Step‑by‑Step Instructions

Open Outlook

Open Account Settings

  • In the top‑right corner of Outlook, click your profile picture (or initials).
  • Select View account.

âś… This opens the Microsoft My Account portal.

Navigate to My Groups

  • In the My Account portal, select Groups from the left navigation menu,
    or
  • Go directly to:
    👉 https://myaccount.microsoft.com/groups

âś… You are now on the My Groups page.

đź§© What You Can Do on the My Groups Page

From My Groups, users can:

  • View groups they belong to
  • View groups they own
  • See group type (Microsoft 365 or Security group)
  • Manage membership and settings (owners only)
  • Review pending membership requests (if applicable)

🛡️ Troubleshooting

  • Don’t see Groups in My Account?
    • Group access may be restricted by policy.
  • Missing a group you expect to see?
    • You may not be a member or the group may be hidden.
  • Can’t manage a group?
    • Only group owners can make changes.

➡️ If access appears incorrect, submit a ticket with TDX.
