Create your own custom password & set your Recovery Questions

Overview:
As part of our new security update, we are implementing a new password policy to keep your account secure. When you sign into ClassLink, you will be prompted to change your password.
Before we begin…
Review the Password Complexity Requirements below.
Password Complexity Requirements
· Minimum Length: Passwords must be at least 10 characters long.
· Commonly Used Passwords: Passwords must not contain commonly used words such as Password, Columbus, Summer, or similar easily guessable terms.
· No Repeating or Sequential Characters: Passwords must not include repeating characters (e.g., aaa, 111) or sequential characters (e.g., 123, abc).
· Password History: Passwords must not be the same as any of your previous 5 passwords.

Having trouble coming up with a password?
Try combining an object and an animal with two numbers to meet all the password requirements.
Create Your Password
Step 1: Sign in to your device.
This screen will appear, prompting you to change your password.

Step 2: Type your new password in the “New Password” field.

Step 3: Retype that password in the “Confirm Password” field.
Step 4: Scroll down past the Password Policy and click “Submit.”

If this screen appears, re-type your and click “next.”

Password Recovery Questions
Step 1: Open Chrome to access ClassLink.

A pop-up will appear like the one in the image above.
Step 2: Click “Set Up Recovery.”

Step 3: Click “Questions.”

Step 4: You will choose and answer three Recovery Questions.
Repeat (A) and (B), as listed below, until three questions have been selected and answered.
(A) How to select a question:
1. Click on the drop-down arrow (circled in the image below).

2. Click on the question you would like to choose from the drop-down menu (scroll to see more options).
(B) How to answer a question:
1. Click in the textbox to the right of the question you wish to answer.

2. Type your answer.
Answers must be at least three characters long.
Step 5: Click “Save.”

Step 6: Click the “X” to return to the ClassLink homepage.
